When I saw this Vibralux edit at first it was just a “normal drool mode dreaming to be a pro” edit. And when I saw the part where in they showed the little sticker – (Made in the Philippines VX) it became literally a SHOCK video for me.
Few things came in my mind:
-Did Alex Broskow, Adam Johnson or any Vibralux riders (preferably Fabiola da Silva =p) came in the country?
- Where is the manufacturing plant located?
- Where do factory over-runs tend to go to? ——-> the hunt is on! I’m talking to you Surplus shops and UK’s (ukay-ukay)
- If only the Vibralux people would inform me they would come in the country, I would lend them a helping hand.. absolutely. And would tour them around the Metro.
- I would like to purchase some over-runs please!
SHOCK edit that SHOCKED me:
I now support Vibralux for being cool, and also because they helped a part of the labor force here in my country.
The hardest thing in life is planting the seed, to dig through the pavements, grabbing opportunities, serving all people, satisfying everyone, not forgetting to smile, be on everywhere but not on the same time, to be always on time, to remember friends-family-religion-hobbies besides all hardships, everyday is a new day, looking at the mirror everyday, praise the people around you, sharing the blessings, listening to signs/symbols, respect, short sleeps. And most of all to study some Alley-oops tricks! besides Topsides~! Yes this is the life of a salesman. Come join in the fun yo! Its a one man team! Go team go!!
Classic Thrones with overboot, tumor plates, blue cuffs (eye candy), and SK’s Kizer Element frame..
Now a prototype that would never be released but landed on Amall, for $399 a pair available only in size 9’s (my size) in limited quantity. Makes me wanna go to USD again, the fulfillment is there again (damn you fulfillment).
UFS Throne, white / teal combination, 2 piece souls, glow in the dark cuffs (eye candy), Kizer Slimline.
Its a Saturday plus: Good weather, good atmosphere, good ortigas session, good groove, good people, good food, good burgers, good sales, good trippings, good vibes, what more could you ask for eh?
When the people from the East thought of comming down and get some spots because all of the local spots are currently war-torn due to the previous typhoon that visited us — and I would like to thank the typhoon for making an indoor swimming pool inside our house:
Benny & Kenneth(Marikina)
Wilson (Antipolo)
Mac (Cainta)
Pics for the spots that we picked in the Ortigas area: No clips though — everyone was “hot skate” next time would do some video clippings. =)
1st spot – The Bermuda “itch” Triangle spot: when you bail, you’ll touch the bermuda grass and it’s all itchy and scratchy. No cure for the itch yo! — Near Meralco
2nd spot – Under the funky bridge spot: what we all came down for! props to Jeff and the other people that are around, for the warm atmosphere. Be bladers or boarders, it’s all good. — In front of Metrowalk
3rd spot – Mcdo ledge: Infront of Mcdonald’s El pueblo, just land the trick!
Had this session around January 09′ with the man, Benjie Estanislao one of the pioneers in the blading scene in the Philippines. One of the few who represented Philippines in various competitions (Asian X-games to name a few), still lacing and landing the tricks like it’s a one piece chicken.
Scene is still alive people, so grab some skates and roll. You’re not alone.
Still no skate parks though in the Metro. Waiting for the most anticipated “Republ1c Skatepark”
PS: He used my skate (such an honor to have his juices on my skates. lol)
Will be having an upgrade with my skates (well until I bashed them out).
Colored some mint condish souls/plates with Krylon Fusion, available from far away–Sears.
Stayed with the same hardware and cuffs, as for the little upgrades:
- Fifty/50 JC Rowe Balance Cores (L)
–> Thanks to Jess Dyrenforth of England Clothing for helping me in the sizing.
–> Props to the people behind fifty/50!
- Chimera Pianowski 58mm/90a
Will dig into the details of the goods later. And now for the pics:
A little upgrade, beat up upper – fresh new lower.
Fifty/50 and Chimera represent yo!
Fresh backslides and h-blocks, another get yo grove on!
